San Francisco's De Young Museum featuring the Tutankhamen exhibit is linked to the original Treasures of Tutankhamen tour of the 1970s. This will be the first time in 30 years that King Tut's treasures will be on display in Northern California — the first time since the original Tutankhamen exhibition opened at the de Young in 1979.
Tutankhamen and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs runs through March of 2010. More than 130 artifacts from Tutankhamen's tomb and the tombs of his predecessors comprise this exhibition.
Be Wicked! The untold story of the witches of Oz. Long before Dorothy drops in, two other girls meet in the Land of Oz One, born with emerald-green skin, is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. WICKED tells the story of their remarkable odyssey, how these two unlikely friends grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch. Ongoing at the Orpheum Theatre.
